The best mandarin I’ve ever eaten

Sitting in Guangzhou Airport in the oppressive humidity, fruit is an appealing option, certainly compared to all the hot noodles and deep fried things.

A tiny little shop selling misc fruit…

I ended up purchasing a mandarin without really giving it much thought other than they looked really nice, and big plus they peel so I don’t need to bother washing them.

It was easily the nicest mandarin I’d eaten, big, sweet and juicy. It therefore came as a surprise when I noticed the grown in Australia label. Comparing this to some of the miserable tiny things we have in Tasmania it’s pretty depressing that you can get better Australian produce in China for a cheaper price.

Awesome mandarin but why can’t we get them in Australian shops???
